NETWORKING TIPS

Be giving – give 3 times for every 1 time you need something.  Don’t arrive with a list of things you want…. Arrive with a list of things you can offer!

Be helpful – be a connector.

Identify conversational icebreakers – try humor or bring a friend with refined social skills.

Name – nothing is sweeter than the sound of one’s name.  Use it!  Remember it!

Be unique – don’t just give your job title, but rather create a sentence or two that sparks curiosity.

Listen – strive to listen more and show genuine interest.  Ask open ended questions, be curious.

Ditch the sales pitch!

Follow-up –  identify the best way to follow up?

Think long-term.

Don’t hijack the conversation.

Get rejected!  It’s a part of life!  Know your vibration and amplify it.
